Is it easyier to drive a manual or automatic car?
It is purely down to personal preference. Most people prefer manual transmission cars because they're more "hands-on" and the driver has more control over the speed of their car because they can switch gears more quickly, whereas in an automatic, the gears system does it for you but it takes longer to change gears because it's automated, however, all you have to do is accelerate and brake. In my opinion though, manual cars are just too unnecessarily complicated for anyone to actually enjoy driving their car because you have to make sure the gears have engaged properly, that you are putting an equal amount of power on the accelerator as you you are on the clutch when changing gears, not stalling the car when coming to a halt, etc. There's so much hassle for something that's meant to be pleasurable. Of course though, that's only my opinion, don't let that stop you from driving manual cars. I've driven a manual myself in the past and I did good but I found that I was spending so much time focusing on making sure the gears engaged properly, that I wasn't focusing on other tasks such as over-acceleration and my surrounding's. That was only on a rally course in a rally Ford Focus on an abandoned airfield, but when it comes to my actual driving test (I'm only 15 at the moment) I will most likely take a manual test so that I'm qualified to drive manual transmission vehicles but I'd buy an automatic car because I will not have to worry about changing gears and driving a car will be much more pleasurable for me. I would drive a manual if I had to though, in an emergency, etc. So to officially answer the question, automatic cars are easier to drive than manual cars because of the reasons I have stated above :)
