Question

If someone acrews a debt and another individual agrees to take over that debt and it is notarized, is the original person still liable if the person owed agreed to the arangement?

Answer

This is not a criminal law question but yes, the original person still owes the debt because the original person signed a contract with the original loaner. Unless the original loaner released the original debtor then the original debtor still owes the money.
