How do you stop your driver side ujoint from floating against the axle housing?

How do you stop your driver side ujoint from floating against the axle housing?
check for broken motor mounts and trans mounts
sometimes a worn trnsaxle will allow excessive cv end play. also chec correct axle size is installed
