Question

My aunt is listed as trustee on my grandfather's trust and I am executor. But I have never seen paperwork, and aunt won't show anyone. I want a copy and want to know my rights to grandfathers stuff

Answer

Perhaps you are designated executor in his will. You should be given a copy of

the will which may just be a pour-over will which merely transfers any property

at death to be subject to the trust. If your grandfather is deceased, a notice of

trust should be filed and as the named executor, you should have a copy of the

will. You may want to request a copy and suggest that if you don't receive a

copy, you may file a petition in local probate court to assert your rights. Your

aunt should cooperate, but if she doesn't, consult with an attorney to review your

options.
