model tThere were many vehicles on the roads in the states even before the model T. Ford had the Quadricycle long before that. The Benz, the Duryea, all came in the late 1890s. Cugnot's tractor came in the late 1700s. There is also a possibility that there were earlier self-propelled road vehicles.
