My husband is currently incarcerated in the state of Florida. His sentence was 15 months with 21 months probation. His detainer on his record currently shows "170 08302 15 MTHS SP". However originally showed 21 months, does this mean his probation is running concurrently with his sentence since he has been incarcerated as of June 2012 and 6 months has come off of his probation time? What does the "SP" mean?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Answer
SP means State Probation. Probation usually does not run concurrent with the jail sentence, but commences afterward.
