Question

I was helping my nephew by filling in as a hostess at his restaurant for the week. A couple came in and we could not accommodate him due to reserved bookings. He was VERY put out and posted a horrible comment on Trip Advisor and stated, "Oh, and the weather beaten, inked up trailer resident you have as hostess is just what people need to see when they come to your restaurant". I am 59 years old and do have a bracelet tattoo on my wrist. Would this in any way be considered slander?

Answer

I practice U.S. Immigration & Nationality Law, of which you issue does not apply. Please direct your question to a Civil Litigation attorney. However, I do not see that this review would constitute a legal action for slander.
