Just found out that my ex is using child support to buy alcohol. Can he get in trouble for that?

Nope! You can not dictate what the child support is used for. If he is buying enough alcohol that the child's needs are not being met, you may be able to contact DSS and make that complaint - see if they will look into it. Good luck to you!
