Question

I am a custodial parent. Other parent owes $20,000 in arrears. Was paid child support through an offset and now OAG letter claims I was overpaid. This does not make sense. What do I need to show them to prove I was not overpaid?

Answer

First thing you should do is ask for a copy of their records showing the overpayment. You may be able to clear things up just by explaining the situation to them but you first need to see how they reached their conclusion.
