Can someone's criminal history/record alone be used as "probable cause" to issue an arrest warrant? There are no other evidence other than "coincidence".
Answer
You should contact a local attorney on this. It is likely that you have a warrant for a probation violation on some older charge that you were unaware was still pending. The prior record is only relevant in that type of circumstance. The only other thing would be that you are unaware of the evidence that the police department has against you, and thus the reason for the warrant being issues. Either way you should be counsel and have him or her investigate and get the warrant taken care of. Best of luck.
